Plaice Fillets (Pleuronectes Platessa)
Individually-Quick-Frozen-at-Sea, within 4 hours of being caught, then glazed.
Top and bottom fillets, skin on, boned, head and tail removed.
2 x 140-170g (5-6 oz)
Handling
Remove from packaging. Rinse fish fillets under cold water for a minute, to remove protective ice glaze. Cook from frozen.
Cooking Guidelines
A delicate flavoured fish, which also needs delicate handling. Cook from fozen, until piping hot throughout. This should take less than 15 minutes however you do it.
Steaming is a great way to keep the flesh immaculate, ideal for anyone on a diet.
Serve with lighter flavoured veg, mushrooms, or beansprouts.
